Lachryma Christi had the pleasure of being able to see this book, which is coming out on the 17th of March through Pagan Records. It is the official biography of Greek band Necromantia.
If you are a fan of the band, this book is a gold mine. It is very detailed, it has a lot of information from all the 32 years of career of Necromantia, and it has a lot of illustrations of interesting items. From photographs to flyers, and other very valuable related imagery.
The book covers the band's work, demo by demo, album by album, with not only information about those, but also memories and interesting personal related episodes.
There are a lot of personal stories told by The Magus, about his life, about the life and history of Necromantia, about The Baron, about their instruments, about their relation to the occult, and so many other personal stuff.
There are also quotes by other artists, telling how they feel about Necromantia and their work, leading you to understand (if there was still any doubt) how this was and is such a loved band, not only by the public in general, but by other musicians of the same sphere.
These Chronicles speak of the influences of the band, what originated what, there is just so much information, it is a very interesting universe.
It is also all so well organized and easy to search and follow.
You can tell there is a lot of feel and there are many emotions on the writing of this book. There is also a lot of effort into giving us as much info as possible. And believe me, there really is a lot of precious information in there. It's 224 pages full of great stories, info and imagery.
There is just so much that could be said about this book. I'm sure it will make everyone who gets it very happy. I'm very happy already, and I only had access to a digital version of it. Now imagine a physical copy!
