Review: Australasia's debut EP "Sin4tr4"

Few weeks ago, Sin4tr4 just came through Lachryma Christi's inbox. Sin4tr4 is the debut EP of a Post-Rock Italian band called Australasia, very Black Metal influenced. It was released through Golden Morning Sounds. Although Australasia are quite an unknown band, they also are a very good band that should be heard. Sin4tr4 has seven tracks, all of them very ambient and atmospheric, combining acoustic guitar riffs and rhythms with very subtle scarce female clean voice and with proper heavy Black Metal passages at times. This is an instrumental duo, so don't expect the normal typical growling voice coming at any moment, because it will never come! Instead, you have the chance to enjoy the good work of these musicians instrumentally. All the attention they can get through this release is very well deserved.
There is a lot of melody fused with aggressiveness, everything very well bonded, very pleasant to listen to. Very relaxing but with a good dose of emotion and every song is easy to listen once, twice, three times, as it is so pleasant that just makes you want to listen to it over and over again.
The cover is very simple, with a white horse over a black background. Also very calming and very intriguing at the same time.
If you like Post-Rock music, and if you are open to new bands, give a listen to Sin4tr4. It is certainly a masterpiece and hopefully Australasia will still be around in the near future to present us with more of such a good work.
